Do National Anthems capture current mentality? – “Saudi Arabia Does It Better” Competition

Good morning fellow Tolunians!

Today’s the kickoff of the “Saudi Arabia Does It Better” competition and we hope you’re ready for it!

2 (2)

This is the first mission for you:

National Anthems are meant to allude to historical moments of both struggle and glory, and to traditions. However, some were written centuries ago and were never updated to include more recent events.
For instance, the Dutch National Anthem, written while the Netherlands fought to become independent from the Spanish Empire, still compare the Spanish crown to a tyrant. Surely Spain wouldn’t mind being taken from this narrative.

With this in mind, our first mission to you is: Re-write the national anthem in a way that you believe will fit your countries current personality and mentality. Are you up to the challenge?

To participate in this mission, please follow this simple rules:

♣ Create a Topic with your new anthem proposal.
♣ Add the letters « DIB » in front of the title (e.g.: DIB – My National Anthem)
♣ Complete the mission by 11th March at 23h59

Remember: By joining the Saudi Arabia Does It Better competition, you can earn 3000 points each week and a 10€ voucher (or the equivalent in points) at the end!

Good luck!
